Pleasant Valley Chorale Welcomes New Musical Director Nora Nadire!

Nora Nadire, Musical Director

The Elizabethtown Social Center is thrilled to welcome Nora Nadire as the new Musical Director of the Pleasant Valley Chorale for the Spring 2025 session.  Nora, a resident of Essex, has been singing classically since she was 11 years old and has taught voice in the North Country for several years.  She looks forward to this new chapter with the Chorale after being a singer in the group. "Having been a member, I'm excited to now lead the Chorale. Singing in a choir is a community-building experience, and I enjoy helping people find their authentic voice and increase confidence in their singing.”

Auditions are not required to join the Pleasant Valley Chorale.  Elizabethtown Social Center Director Arin Burdo says, “We appreciate that the Chorale is available to anyone who wants to sing.  It’s part of our core mission to bring people together”.  The Social Center started and has sponsored the Chorale since the mid-1980s, offering a grand piano, rehearsal and performance space.  Kerry Mero will continue as the Accompanist for the Chorale.

To sign up, contact the Social Center at (518) 873-6408 or email laurie@elizabethtownsocialcenter.org

Rehearsals begin on Tuesday, January 7 and will be held weekly from 6:30pm – 8:00pm at the Elizabethtown Social Center. Regular attendance is expected.  The spring session will culminate in two performances – on Friday, April 11 and Sunday, April 13.  Dues for the spring session are $15.
