Social Center Seeks New Director
Elizabethtown Social Center seeks an experienced Executive Director to advance its mission to enhance the lives of people in Elizabethtown and neighboring communities by connecting them to each other, to our natural resources and to cultural experiences that promote recreation and creative enrichment.
Under general direction from the board of directors, the Executive Director plans, organizes, and directs the overall operation of the Elizabethtown Social Center, Inc., including administration, fundraising, public relations, facilities, and programming. The board seeks candidates with some combination of the following knowledge abilities and background: management, finance, and program development; grants and fundraising; working with a variety of ages and interests; the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with the public, media and community partners; human resources; nonprofit board involvement; community leadership and development; and strategic planning.
The Elizabethtown Social Center Board realizes that qualifications vary individually and are met through combinations of formal training, on-the job responsibilities, and real-life experiences. Many experiences may be relevant to this position.
